Privacy Policy

How Porta Aperta handles newsletter signups, contact messages and requests to access or remove submitted information.

This privacy policy explains the documented ways Porta Aperta collects and manages information submitted through its website. It covers newsletter signup records and messages sent to contact@porta-aperta.org.

Email signup information

When an email signup form is presented, its invitation is: “Leave your email for future Porta Aperta updates.” The form asks for an email address and explicit agreement to the statement: “I agree to receive email updates from Porta Aperta.”

A signup stores the submitted email address, a duplicate-check hash, the signup time, the source page path without its query string or fragment, the accepted consent wording and the collection status in the site’s WordPress database. These records remain until an authorized administrator removes them or an erasure request is processed.

Temporary anti-spam rate records use hashed network identifiers and are subject to periodic cleanup. These records are separate from the newsletter signup record. This does not mean that hosting systems never create their own network or access logs.

Signup collection is enabled for possible future updates. Email delivery, confirmation and unsubscribe functions require separate configuration. Submitting a form does not imply an active mailing schedule or mailing service.

Contact messages

If you email contact@porta-aperta.org, the message contains the information you choose to provide. This may include your email address, message text and attachments. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not necessary for your request.

Access to signup records

Authorized site administrators can view, export and remove newsletter signup records. Newsletter records also integrate with WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools.

Your choices

You may ask for access to or removal of a newsletter signup record by emailing contact@porta-aperta.org. Include the email address used for the signup so the relevant record can be identified. A request may require enough information to match the record before it is removed.

Links to other websites

Porta Aperta may link to websites operated by other parties. Those websites maintain their own privacy information and practices. Review the policy on the destination site before submitting personal information there.
