Serial Numbering Custom Cards: Production Methods and Tradeoffs

Macro view of a metal numbering machine above a stack of dark, rounded-corner cards, with adjacent cards labeled “042 / 500,” “043 / 500,” and “044 / 500” beside a printed production sheet with registration marks and color swatches.

Serial numbering is a data, printing and finishing-order problem—not merely a line of artwork. Compare four production routes and learn what to specify before printing.
